Christmas card from a photo

To turn a photo into a Christmas card, upload it here, pick the scene and the print size, then pay $9.00 once. There is no account and no free trial image. You download the portrait PNG and, for 5x7 or 4x6, a 300 dpi PDF with your greeting. Refunds are within 14 days.

Who should start from a photo they already have

This page is for someone who already took the picture: a phone photo from the kitchen, last year's porch photo, or a snapshot a relative sent. You do not need a new shoot. You need a file where the faces are visible. It fits people who will print one card at home and people who only want a PNG to send in a message. It is a poor fit if the only photo is a tiny, blurry crop from a group chat. The model cannot recover a face it cannot see.

You upload the photo, pick the scene and the size, and pay once. There is no account and no free trial image of your photo. The example gallery on the home page is sample artwork, not a render of your picture.

What photo works best?

Faces toward the camera, in focus, without sunglasses, a hat brim, or hair across the eyes. Soft daylight or even indoor light. One group photo is simpler than four dark snapshots. If people live apart, you may upload up to four separate photos, each with a clear face. Use a recent photo if hair, glasses, or a child's age changed. The model can change clothes and the room. It cannot invent the person behind a turned head.

JPG, PNG, and WebP upload directly. A HEIC photo is accepted by the file picker and converted to JPEG in the browser when JavaScript can decode it. Without JavaScript, export a JPEG first. The server does not decode HEIC. Each file can be up to 10 MB. You must be 18 to order. Confirm permission: every adult agreed, and you are the parent or guardian of any child, or you have that parent's permission.

Which size to choose

If you will print and mail the card, choose 5×7. The download is a 1500×2100 PNG and a PDF page of 5 by 7 inches at 300 dpi. Choose 4×6 for a smaller print: 1200×1800 pixels and a 4 by 6 inch PDF, also 300 dpi. Choose the square if you will post the picture. Choose 9:16 if you will use it as a story. Square and story are PNG only. A wide group photo loses people in a tall story crop, so prefer 5×7 when everyone must stay in the frame on paper.

Type the greeting, recipient, and signature if you want them set in type. They are drawn on the card after the photo is generated. They are not sent to the model as the scene. Leave them blank if you only want the portrait, or if you will write on the back of the paper.

How do I turn my photo into a Christmas card?

Start on the make page. Add the photo, choose the scene and the size, type the greeting if you want one, and continue to checkout. The email is collected there, for the receipt, not on the upload step. When Waffo confirms payment, the image job starts. The order page shows the downloads when the files are ready. Keep that link. The id in the URL is how you return if you close the tab.

Scenes are a fireplace, a snowy porch, a photo with Santa, matching red pajamas, an ugly sweater, a pet portrait, or anime. Santa is a separate person beside you, not a replacement of a face. The pet scene is for an animal already in the photo. Uploaded photos are deleted when the portrait is saved. Downloads stay 30 days after payment.

What to check in the file

Compare faces, the number of people, hands, and any pet with the photo you uploaded. Read the greeting. The card is labeled AI-generated, so do not present it as a camera photograph from a studio. If the job fails or the result is unusable, email support inside the refund window in the footer. You do not get a second free generation. A request that breaks the acceptable use rules is refused.
